To make newsletter more informative and more interesting, take steps to focus solely on your target customers and what they want from the newsletters. Take the necessary time to promote your newsletter or electronic magazine by writing quality, informative articles and then submitting them to a variety of ezines. This works as a great marketing tool and can be a viral marketing powerhouse.Give your readers articles of interest that make them want to read more of your writings and want to share that information with others. This can cause a viral effect so that when an important announcement is to be sent, they are sure to read the announcement and not discard it or feel that it is too boring to share with others. Value rich articles are ones that contain poignant information that can be easily and immediately shared. This includes how to instructions, technical guides, manuals, informational articles and blogging posts. These resources help readers find the information that they need fast and help direct them quickly to the areas of their own businesses where more attention is warranted.

Another method in effective viral marketing is list control and list building towards your marketing efforts. To maintain the quality and size of your list, take precautions to continually tweak the list and clean it up. Always take measures to improve strategies, make and improve systems, analyze statistics, and make sure that everything is working seamlessly to provide optimal service to your readers. Always keep an eye on email addresses that bounce and remove them immediately. This keeps your list file from becoming too cluttered and retaining bad information. Although list building never stops, word of mouth advertising is a viable and popular way to incorporate viral marketing and the process is unlikely to get outdated or replaced anytime soon. Initially, it was the only effective way to advertise and to a certain degree, it did work. A creative option in word of mouth advertising is to add an option to e-mail a friend option in every one of your blog sites or online newsletter. In addition to this feature, the opt-in function will help build your list higher and stronger and bring in valuable traffic to your site.
